Changes for Impact

Livio Ravetto

Hands-on architect

I design the change, and I stay to build it. A good part of the contract work is on live Salesforce orgs. I also build agents that carry a task through on their own.

Incrementally Ltd is the company. There is one consultant. I am a certified Platform App Builder and Administrator. The work is time and materials, usually inside a team that already owns the system.

Before 2019

From 2013 I was lead developer and administrator at Exponential-e, then senior developer at Wilmington, then solutions architect at Lightful, on Salesforce work for non-profits. From 2006 to 2013 I was at Exponential-e as a systems manager and Perl developer, on operational systems, DNS and mail. Before that, Perl at Venda and at BBC New Media. I have a Licence d’informatique, a bachelor’s in computer science, from the Université de Rennes, 1997.

How an engagement works

I start from the org and the people who use it. On the Intertek portal that was three discovery sessions before a line of build. On other engagements it is a backlog that already exists, and a seat in the team. We agree the next increment and what done means. I build it, show it working, and leave documentation the next person can follow. Billing is time and materials.

Agents

I build autonomous systems. An agent is given a task, the tools for that task, and a point where it has to stop and ask. It reads the context, carries out the steps, and hands back enough for a person to decide.

The agent can inspect what is there, prepare a change, and take the repetitive work. I design the boundary and the checks. If the model is wrong, nothing goes live on the strength of the model alone.
